Clinical Research Initiative Guide
Through ongoing research and development efforts, we gain valuable insights, refine our approaches, and develop innovative solutions to address the complex challenges faced by individuals recovering from trauma and stress. Research helps us stay informed about the latest scientific findings, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in stress management through nutrition, mental health rejuvenation and renewal, and faith-based wellness.
We perform research by collaborating with partners and the community to collect data that evidence on participant engagement and adherence to trauma-informed principles, identify strengths and areas for improvement to refine our program components, enhance overall effectiveness, and identify key outcome measures.
For example, one of our clinical research initiatives is aimed at integrating nutritional healthcare into chronic disease prevention and intervention. This initiative aims to incorporate professional MNT (evaluation, counseling, and treatment) into conventional models for individuals with trauma who have acquired endocrine diseases and mental disorders. Many individuals seek a proactive care model where they can take control of their life by learning self-directed practices to improve optimal health. However, the traditional healthcare model does not always prioritize self-reliant methods over the conventional pharmaceutical approach. Researching the demand of these services and resources can help us advocate for the Lifestyle Recovery program to be integrated into mainstream health care.
