ABSTRACT

Background: A powerful strategy for managing blood glucose levels can be to incorporate a low-glycemic Paleo diet model.

Purpose: The aim was to provide shopping list for practitioners that models an ancestral diet approach.

Results: A shopping list was developed with glycemic indices and carbohydrate values for those wanting to also implement a low-carbohydrate diet.

Conclusion: Low, moderate, and high carbohydrate diet macronutrient percentages differ from glycemic indices and glycemic load. Fiber intake can also be a factor in regarding this method.
