What are Clinical Trials?

Clinical trials are defined in Section 102(b) of the revised IRB regulations as a research study in which one or more human subjects are prospectively assigned to one or more interventions to evaluate the effects of the intervention on biomedical or behavioral health-related outcomes. Nutrition and body-mind-spirit structured scientific studies are designed to generate data for the investigation of: specific diet interventions; eating behaviors: food, plant, or alcohol addiction behaviors; or body-mind-spirit techniques on human health. Utilizing statistical evidence, these trials are conducted to determine the safety and efficacy of studies, maladaptive patterns, analytical changes, exploration of individual experiences and trajectories, benefits, barriers, and effective strategies of alternative treatment modalities and the impact of various nutritional strategies on aspects such as integrative care plans, lifestyle recovery, disease prevention (physical and mental health), treatment, and overall well-being.

How long do Nutrition Clinical Trials last?

The duration of studies varies based on their nature and the subject under examination, spanning from months to years. Since diet interventions, observations, or surveys are utilized and not FDA-regulated nutraceuticals, when the diet period is over, then the study would be considered complete.

What is the Nutrition Research Participation Process?

Our streamlined process is designed to provide clarity and keep you well-informed, ensuring your successful enrollment in a study tailored to your needs for optimal results. Typical trials initiate a pre-screening process with a form to assess study eligibility for inclusion. However, our studies are survey oriented for the general population, which means the participant may pre-qualify themselves by choosing the survey option that best suits them.
